The holidays have been chock-full of salon nights at my loft, great Christmas concerts and a trip to North Bay to see my family. Good stuff!
Parties included two concerts at The Old Mill Inn, a swing party at Dovercourt House and a big bash at Palais Royale that featured Alex Pangman and her Alley Cats on a Friday night!
When Alex wasn’t singing with her killer swing band she was on the dance floor enjoying some of the specials guests who included: Roger Clown, Tim Tamashiro, Barbra Lica, Tom Parker & Drew Jurecka.
Over two hundred well-dressed dancers took over the dance floor for three hours of non-stop Lindy hoppin’!
The staff at The Palais are always excited to have the young and old swing dancers invade their vintage venue and the ambience is second to none in Toronto.
After the party I invited a few band members back to my place along with a couple friends.
In no time, we had a party! The feel good jam covered all styles of music and included Tim Tamashiro crooning “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” with Tony Quarrington on guitar. Tom Parker and Alex joined Tony in a country tune that was timeless. The night ended with a show on the silks by Pretty Penny.
Tim Rivers and I drove up to North Bay and I rented a cabin in the usual place. I had so much fun at my parents party I forgot to take pictures! (That’s happened to me a lot lately!)
Next up…a couple loft parties.
I only took a few photographs during my bash but luckily Amy McConnell got some killer shots that captured the night so much better than I ever could have with my iPhone.
As you can see I capture some night moments with this little pics.
But it doesn’t compare to… This shot of Penny by Amy!
