The week began with a press conference for the Toronto International Film Festival. I look forward to the movies and parties September – and it looks like this line up is as good as any year in recent memory. I’ll blab more about that when it gets closer. More urgently…go see ANYTHING GOES at Princess of Wales Theatre if you can!
I know I’ll see it one more time with a group of friends – Rachel York alone is worth the price of admission! Amy Poehler meets Anita O’Day?! One Thursday after a relaxing sail I took Afrah Gouda to Bloom on Bloor for dinner and Cuban music led by one of my favourite singers, Louis Mario Ochoa.
The vibe in the place was outrageously happy and the food was beautiful, tasty and perfect proportions! I look forward to going back there very soon on another Thursday for live music! Saturday morning Barbra Lica suggested we sail. I’d done 11am with Mary B once, but 9:30 was pushin’ it…or so I thought. It was a great morning, we headed back about one pm and just beat the rain. Vivanna, a gorgeous singer I met through Randy Bachman, joined Barbie, Phil, Captain Paul and Melissa. Barbie hadn’t been on a boat in ages and loved playing Captain. COMING UP THIS WEEK!
More sailing pics…uh…could be! But also…The Electric-Eclectics is on. My first gig with Look People in 19 years!
